The State of Alaska Division of Workers' Compensation implemented electronic reporting of workers' compensation claim data on 7/22/2013. Claims reporting includes the first reports of injury (FROI) and subsequent reports of injury (SROI), commonly referred to as compensation reports. All Workers Compensation Claim reporting is submitted via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions through approved, registered EDI Senders or by paper submissions to Alaska Department of Labor on behalf of approved trading partners.

Effective 05/17/2021, Alaska transitioned to Claims Release 3.1 reporting standards adopted by the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC). Additional information concerning EDI standards can be found online at the IAIABC website, https://www.iaiabc.org.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding implementation of EDI FROI/SROI reporting in Alaska, please contact the ADOL EDI Support Team at adoledi@iso.com.

Any Insurer, Self-Insurer, Employer, Claim Administrator, or Vender who wishes to become a certified ADOL EDI Sender (Trading Partner) of the state may register by completing the electronic registration form located in the left navigation bar.

  • Completion of the Electronic EDI Registration form provides necessary information to establish trading partners in our tables. Please note that it is important to keep all information up to date.
  • A Registration Update form is also provided in the event that your organizational status changes. Use this form to update the Division on any changes associated with your profile.
  • All parties required to report Workers' Compensation Claim Data must use an approved EDI Sender to submit their claims. A list of approved EDI vendors and their contact information is located at https://www.adoledi.info/edi-vendors.
